How do I turn it off?
Until now we have said just call us. This has been because 99% of customers have been excited to use it as a marketing channel. It gives them the ability to offer their customers the latest technology.

On Sunday, we will include a simple ON/OFF switch in the web portal to turn it off.

Customer App

You probably already use our Pro App to run your business on the go, but did you know that we also have a Customer App? This booking app allows your customers to find and rebook you straight from their phone. As we featured last week, you can create your own code to share with your customers, which will automatically tie your customers to you in the app. Once they download it, they can see you in the app to book you. They can also chat with you through the app, see your job progress, and get updates when you're starting and completing their job. This is a HUGE benefit to your customers, and they're guaranteed to book you again and again.

If you do not wish to be visible in the Customer App, you can choose to toggle yourself off under the Customer App tab in the Marketing section. If toggled off, your business will not be visible to your customers and you will not be able to be booked through an app.

I'm confused (as usual), was there a previous thread, and then these app dudes hijacked the thread? I mean I read the whole thing, then wished I hadn't.

Ditto.

And some very defensive, in your face posts.

Certainly could use some training in how to better manage client concerns, questions and how to deal with objections tactfully.

Even if I thought this were a good solution for our company, I'd never do business based on what I just read.

Hi Meg,

I am very sorry you were put off by our posts trying to address community concerns. We did not mean to come off rudely and If we offended in any way, we earnestly apologize. We are a small start-up trying to grow and learn as fast as possible. We are committed to providing the highest level of service possible, so your feedback is very important. I hope you will give us another chance to meet your expectations.

Are we going to market to your customer database without your permission?
No.

Let me guess...when you opt in to use this service, (are then required to upload your customer data base), you then give them permission to use it. One of those catch 22s....

I would be interested to know the details of the "permissions"and if it can be revoked at any time.

There are no hidden caveats in this. Your customer list is your own and we will not directly market to your customers. No catch 22. No hidden agendas. You can revoke permissions and leave at any time with your customer list. If your customer downloaded the consumer booking app, we will market to them on occasion when announcing promos etc, but again, that is only done to drive more jobs to you. You can always turn off the marketplace on your dashboard permanently if you'd like.
