How do you guys charge when you get called to a wdr and the carpet and pad are damp from the customers attempt to dry it themselves? There isn't enough water to extract but it still needs blowers placed to get the pad dry. Do you charge the same as having to extract for an hour or just a service call?
Also, what do you do when your almost dry and it gets wet again? Customer can't replace sump pump and plumbers can't get there for days. Do you guys ever replace a sump pump? We also have a customer that seems to have a crack in the floor that won't dry but we can't see it through all the glue and they don't want us to move all the furniture to pull back the carpet far enough to check properly. It's just a small spot on white berber that won't dry so it keeps browning. Thanks Buddy.

If during regular hours Service Call & furniture manipulation, plus equipment.

We feel really bad...but keep charging. That equipment could be some where else making rental. If its been drying a while or many pieces we might give them a discount. ???

Never and not because we couldn't but I don't want the liability of "Owning" that sump pump.

If the ground is really wet there, it could be pushing up from the crack in that slab. That's a problem because until things dryout they will have an issue with it.

Sounds like you're busy doing water! :icon_cool:

Thanks Buddy! We aren't doing many, just going back to this one 4 times after it was suppose to be done. Just got a call from an old neighbor with water. Here goes another one for not much money. I wish I could charge full price. I wouldn't be broke.
