This APO came with the Thermalwave, and I need some maintenence info and maybe a manual download? Are there filters to clean? Do you change the crankcase oil often?

I believe that's a Hypro D50. Manual available on Hypro's website, lots of how to videos on YouTube.

Edit:
Not a D50, it's the smaller one, the D30. Sorry.

I have one them somewhere. They kick butt as long as you use it regularly.

Just don't let the sludge buildup and you'll be fine. I'd also stock a diaphragm or two!

Use a 5/8 wrech I think and take off the two nuts on top of manifold, clean out the check valves, lint and crap will be in there. Make sure they go back together the same way, springs, disks, cages etc. Maybe replace the diaphragm, change the oil, pump oil is fine

I have one for sale as well. Low hours

The only thing I found was the springs will get hair and such in them and keep it from working properly

Don't maybe replace the diaphragm definitely replace it. They break and then the sludge floods the bearings. Ask me how I know. I believe it's supposed to be changed every 500 hrs.

Thanks for this post. I have one in my Vortex and it's not working. I didn't use it enough and sludge built up inside it..

Any suggestions on a filter I can install inside the waste tank to keep some of the sludge from getting inside the APO port?

I had one that I only used on occasion, and so of course it went bad. Took it to TCS and they said it couldn't be rebuilt. I found that strange.

Saiger has a pump out in his Butt-ler and he never uses it but it's still the best pump out in the planet, almost worth a video.

No, I have the best APO on the planet. Will any of these other APO's go for several months of heavy daily use without even attending to the filter inside the waste tank?

No need to ever replace the motor as it will last for a lifetime with only occasional (yearly cost of $30) replacement of the impeller.

Available in up to 40 GPM.

Cost is under $200.

I cannot understand that if you have an APO, you rarely use it.

An APO will save you so much time as it allows you to never break your stride while you are cleaning!

Just sayin'

That's assuming all my jobs are large enough to need it. They're not. Plus, I didn't have, nor had room to have, a live reel. It was a pain in the ass using it.

I hear where you are coming from. For us it does not matter the size of the job because how can you calculate ahead of time whether or not you'll kick in the APO?

We put out the APO hose on every job, and it knows when to come on or no. So there's no need to wonder if you need it. It knows when to kick in.

Our APO kicks in when there is only 14" of waste water in the tank, not when it is almost full.

I have never needed a pump-out.. If anything I would drill out my waste tank to 3",and it would drain in like 30 seconds.. I went "full flow" with my plumbing to fill my water tanks off the water softener at my house(fills at around 15-20 gallons per minute) , it's awesome!! Time is money..

Rarely use the APO on our Butlers...we have the 210 waste tanks on our units....rarely need the pump out....

Still all APO's at some time get gunked up it seems and need some attention....

One less hose to set up for us....BUT

Also, one less thing to freeze up during the cold season
