odor removal

Any suggestions on removing gasoline odor from the trunk of a car. It coming from the black cushion felt stuff. I've used Odorcide with no luck, but I might try again at full strength.

I appreciate any advice.

Nothing but time will remove it. Pull carpet. Pitch the fiber pad and clean the metal. Then wait 6-months and it "might" go away. We have tried all sorts of methods and have not found anything that is consistantly effective.

I dealt with that problem 20 years ago. I could not completely get it out. I used a solvent before I started rinsing. Mine was on a glue down and it got into the latex. I might of had a deodorizer but I didn't use it. Good luck

Better to remove and replace honestly...

Just hard to remove the odor....

Walmart sells a product in the automotive section that says it removes gasoline odor. maybe try that.

When my father used to drive 20 miles to save two cents per gallon at a truckstop I would love to smell that gasoline as I hung my head out the window. Something like 27 cents a gallon? They just don't make gasoline like they used too.
