Seal a door woes

I always have kept the door shut as much as possible. Now with the Seal a Door it keeps the house too shut up.
We run lots of air movers and speed dry the carpet. The Seal a Door keeps all the humidity in the house. The windows in the house are fogging up and the carpets are drying a little slower.

Anyone else notice this?

It the time of year. Moisture condenses on the windows because the elevated humidity up against the cold window glass acts as a condenser.

Try blowing your airmovers at the windows to keep the moisture from condensing.

Yes I understand that but how is it different than what he has always experienced during fall/winter cleaning.

Get a wand with high sheer, almost no steam escapes and it all stays on the carpet right before being extracted.

More moisture removal like dry strokes will help with this.

Here in the land of 80+ humidity I pop a few windows open. The hot air help the water evaporate and let's it balance with outside air. The zipper does seem to contain the steam which is just another benefit.

I haven't noticed a problem but we use an PC 650 and dry stroke and leave ceiling fans on medium if there are any and turn HVAC fan to "on"

We had one today I was worried about

Cold humid day, thick nylon with decades of Bissell residue. Loads of spots.

I warned her of slow drying.
One Earth TLC and ICE Rinse with three dry passes with TIs and Devpros and the AT just killed it

What a combo!


Good thing too.

1st job was an estimate, 2nd and a Tennant opening the door for us upon her a rival to find that the carpet had been torn out and the 3rd were two pos showerstalls I rejected..

I have a customer that always comments that their windows fog up overnight.. I can understand while I'm there rocking my Apex, but over night? Surely something to do with evaporation, seems like their house might be air tight. They are the only customer that has told me this..

The surface temperature of the window is falling below the dew point temperature of the air.

Home HVAC systems can pull a lot of water. Leave the interior doors open in areas that you have cleaned, and as a general rule the air conditioning should be used when outside conditions are above 80 degrees and 65 gpp. Heating should be used when outside conditions are below 80 degrees and 65 gpp.
