On my sixth pair of Caterpillar (mfg. by Wolverine) Argons. Around $100-120 at Sears. They are comfortable, soles are impervious to stripper, and they have a rubber-covered hard toe so spray wipes off. But they last only three or four months. Soft soles wear fast.

Probably going back to Redwings.

Only FAGS wear sandals. Years ago I bought 25 pairs of tennis shoes that had velcro wraps. Don't know why they were closing them out. I have about 7 pairs left.

Well I bought a pair, they are a bit different than my Vans, and I had no problem following my wife around the mall for the day, she said oh great now you can break them in :errf:.
I think any shoe is gonna feel a bit different than my normal flat og Vans. I can say for a new pair not bad, as long as they hold up they will be fine, my vans come apart in about a month I think the pre spray attacks the glue.

If I fell today, the way I've fallen in the past, I'd be seriously injured.
Me too....big time. I've had two concussions in the last few years lol. One from my noggin introducing itself to a tile floor, the other from a massive concrete beam that had been painted the same color as the walls and ceiling in a church turned luxury home. I was up in the belfry area and George was on the bottom level and heard the bonk.
Yes...there bats in that belfry! Hahaha! That one took a few weeks to recover from, I was pretty much in a daze for 2-3 weeks.

i tried a pair of shoes alot like the ones mentioned here with the 100% water proof and all, but most of the ones i try keep the water out but also keep the water in, so i just stick with sneakers, i just spray the crap out of the outside of them with water proofer which helps resist water, but they still breath. they eventually get wet, but i have 3 pairs i switch out with, new pair, ok pair, and a pair thats i use mainly at home when i know im gonna get dirty.

Marty's Merrells,I have been in them for about a week or so. At first they were a little harsh but have become one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet.
I haven't noticed them being any more slippery on hard surfaces vs my Vans shoes.

Speaking of slippery has anyone ever noticed how much MORE slippery ParFlex hose is vs Goodyear (rubber) solution hose is? Holy crap, ParFlex is like stepping on ice!
So thanks Marty for suggesting Merrell shoes very happy with them.

I can only imagine wearing sneakers that aren't waterproof because I was goofy enough to do it when I started.

Wet feet make a guy miserable.

I've been wearing Keens for the last couple years. They are heavy, for sneakers, but well worth it with comfort and they have a waterproof and breathable membrane (like gore-tex).

Sneakers are all about fit and they might not work for others, but definitely find some that are waterproof!

Most of time I will use a work boot with tire treads on my right foot opposite the tennis shoe on the other. Just so I can get more traction on my lead off foot.

One time when I had stayed home from work, my hubby came home between jobs for a "lunch break".
He left to go do another job and called me up and said the customer pointed out to him that he was wearing two different shoes.....:shifty:

I prefer white tennis shoes with velcro wraps instead of shoe strings.
