too small for the Cimex and my CBM is broken, so I brought out the pads and 175. I used one of Ricks products. The one with the green label ... Punch ... I think. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it cleaned.

But I had an asthma attack and had to use my inhaler!

What do mfgs make this stuff so irritating?

I agree shower feed is best. You get it in the airstream and it makes you cough.

We use a 15 inch Cimex for small areas. It's spins a lot faster but as long as you don't lay down too much solution you're ok. Otherwise it throws it around.

Punch is pretty strong; we use it for areas that need an atom bomb. Was the carpet too dirty for DS2, or HyDrox?

My 175 has shower feed , but when using abonnets I don't ue it. Only when using fiber pads.

Hi Marty,

I'm glad the job turned out well. But I'm sorry to hear the spraying application bothered your throat. We normally recommend using a coarse spray-tip for spraying any cleaning product. In the range of an 8005 jet works pretty well for pre-spraying. A coarse tip helps to prevent the spray from becoming too finely atomized. Shower-feeding is most effective for the "shampoo" style of encap cleaning. On the other hand - when applying a pre-spray, or when bonnet/pad cleaning - using a coarse tip should do the trick.

Make sure you or your son are using good technique too. Keep it low to the carpet, we all tend to shoot from waist level which just adds to the issue of aerosolization of products.

Try the large spray tips, maybe a longer lance and then just keep it close to the carpet.

Helped someone do the same thing. Was hard to convince him that he didn't need to drag 300 feet of hose in a mall. Vacuumed, sprayed and bonnet cleaned it real quick.

I really know where you're coming from on this Marty.

Those tight areas in joolrey stores can be a real PITA.

I do some, customer service areas, behind the counter & office sections.

Some of my other jobs get a bit dirtier than the crown jools.
