Very nice. You did so well, I have to ask, since I can't tell by looking!!! Did you take the patch down over the nose, and part way down the riser? To avoid the seam being right on the nose.

I took it all the way to the bottom of the riser so there would be no seam on the bottom and bradded it to the tack strip that was there. Since it was the top step, it was a separate piece from the rest of the stairs which is why they had tack on the riser. Worked out great. If you fold the carpet right where it goes over the bullnose it breaks the backing just enough to make it more pliable.
