All kidding and poop flinging aside, I really like tinkering , I geek out at the vacuum motor store and I'm the furthest thing from being mechanically inclined.I do understand airflow and a few other things about recovering water. I bought a bunch of Domels to play around with. I mounted 3 in my Recoil, all in parallel. The amp draw was ridiculous, but for the 45 seconds it ran, well it was pretty awesome. Too bad, but power limitations. I used a set of 2 hp 2 stages in series on an old school Ninja, bored out the other side of the lid , put in a hose barb and stuck a tool box booster with the same vacs as was in the machine with a
General pump. The set up was pretty awesome, but I had to stop and refill halfway through a one bedroom. I bought the warriors because I was impressed with the set up. Not the working parts so much, but the $700 to replace the vacs every year was a drag. I bought the powerflite to continue my experiments.25 amps on one circuit,13 on the other, put a fan in the motor compartment after 2 pumps in 2 months so I had to add a cord Shitty vac, tiny recovery tank, but it was able to keep up the heat better than even my 3250 watt kleenrite with one cord instead of 2. 160 inches water, but the CFM was sad. Moving forward I decided to experiment with the bucket booster. Still has really good lift, but way better airflow. The pump went in my dual 3 stage Steamway with the specifically built manifold, but when I get it back, I expect some serious awesome. I'm going to Ron's shop tomorrow on my way home from a job and I'll put a gauge on and see what readings I get. Pics and results tomorrow.
