...........and you don't have to buy a case. Most TM owners have a "stink issue" if water is left in tank overnite, or even during the day. It's really prevalent in the Pro 1200 units. Go to etrailer.com (and I'm not hawking it), and search out TST RV Toilet Treatment. 15 pouches of treatment for grey or black water neutralizing and odor stopper. Drop one in after cleaning every day and smell a wonderful new world in your truck! Going to cost you about $1.00 a day. Smells a hell of a lot better than waste tank grunge. Works on 40 gallons of water, which is probably more than is left in a tank after APO operation.
Of course, I'm sure most of you rinse out and empty your tanks everyday, so this wouldn't apply to you.

I'm cheap I'll start the machine take some DEO and pour a little in the vac inlet. But a $1.00 pellet sounds good to.

The stink is the smell of money.

Just fill your tank a 1/4 of the way with fresh water and drain it well.

Steve.....I've been running tm's for over 30 years and none have been as bad as this Pro 1200. Even when I drain it, the van still stinks like ass. (Not that I would know what ass stinks like.......)

Anyone else having trouble with this one?

It's the size of the oem filter holes RW..

They let too much ass funk through.

Can you configure that drop in box to use a 5 GAL paint strainer?

My 370 almost never stinks due to the Devestator

Nah, it's the 1200.

I always run an inline filter, and trust me when I say this tank stinks considerably more than any other truckmount I've ever run.

Personally I think it is because the L-shaped tank doesn't drain as completely for some reason, and (more importantly) the waste water is not diluted by clean water bypassed to the waste tank like most hx machines.

I wonder if the pouches will work when I bathe later. If it does then I will be able to throw out that Arrid I've been using.

Thats what i said...

Steve....have you ever seen a Pro 1200 waste tank setup? It's not "hose out" friendly. Up behind the seat, with the blower filter and strainer taking up most of the top tank space. My Genesis was easy to flush out. Even the Thermalwave wasn't too bad for hosing access. Not being lazy, but I don't want to be bothered every day I clean of having to open up and flush out the tank. Almost 40 years of cleaning will do that to ya.

Nope. Free flowing when I do drain it. I opened up a sanitary drain plug in the shop, right by the door. Now it's easy to pull in and short-hose it right to the drain.

Another cleaner mentioned, (but I can't say where I heard it here) that while driving, airflow circulates up through the blower outlet and pushes that stink ass air right out the vac inlets on the Pro 1200. It's located right under the side step. The smell does get worse as you drive, so this theory makes sense. Maybe if I cap the inlets when driving.

Sounds like my white magic.

When I can I try to park the van slightly uphill and dipped to the right to get a complete drain.

Mine has an odor pretty often too.

I had problems with my tanks smell but, it did not have an access hole in it, so it was hard to rinse out. After I made an access hole that made it better to get at to rinse out. I also got some auto ramps to help with angle some.

Try some of these.
