If you recall Tom when I dropped the pressure from 650 to 450, the SS12 spray pattern got way better.

Tom's wand score big points for jet/ manifold adjustability.
The Dang, Mytee and Interlink were totally non adjusting.

We all agreed that the Mytee handle should have been on the other wands

They all cleaned well with no noticeable streaking or soaking

Yes that is correct, I do recall you made pressure adjustment, and it did make it better.
I went back to the hose pull grunt as some dang kid was working hard cleaning while us wand nerd's were having fun

Will the bearing access screws come out? They should as we pumped grease in through them.

I'll guess that that wand has more usage than any of your wands. My guys clean A LOT of carpet with just a "wand"..

Very close, the SS has the edged do to the forced 2" hose use

The Mach 12 has a 1.5 cuff, the SS12 has 2"

The one piece round glide on the SS leaks less air.

The SS manifolds are not as adjustable

Same valve and assist handle

So half of the job was done with the zipper?

Was there a noticeable difference in dry times on the half done with the zipper and the other half done with y'all playing around with the wands?

While worthless when the 370, its VERY NICE when the Vortex.
Manifolds need a bit of adjusting but at 15" this thing is a production workhorse

I forgout to mention the TRex Jr..

The mini RE was a life saver today in the worse of the worse areas. Very smooth, great recovery, very aggressive.

I can't say if it's more aggressive than a RV brushhead based on just one greasy CGD job, but its far more than a regular RV or HOSS.

Probably just needs a few inches of brush strips under there...

I would like to see the speed adjuster beefed up and relocated.
Also a clear tube would be more effective than the clear elbow for seeing color and flow.
The extra ten pounds over the 360i was noticeable in use and transport.

Does the TRex come with any type of teflon/plastic glides? My RX20 old style was a scary tool around ceramic and wood transitions. Then I got the GGlides for the RX, and those made it a lot easier and safer to use around hard surfaces.
Now, my Hoss is a lot safer with it's teflon interchangable glides.

I have been looking for a new 1 1/2 wand. I was looking at the mach 12 but if you think the ss 12 is better, I can get locally. Seems odd they would have a 2 inch cuff on a 1 1/2 inch wand but I have adaptors that let me use a 1 1/2 whip

Ok.... So I didn't see any price comparisons, maybe you can go over your top picks and see how the price plays out???

There are nylon glides for the Trex . But I never tried them . Touch wood . We have never had any accidents. I really should get a set and try them out I suppose.

and your right Tom. I have no idea how many miles of carpet that Bentley has gone over . It was bounced around in at least 6 different trucks . As I would lone it out to other cleaners to get their feed back on it . Plus I had my own guys beating on it.
And now you've made me feel guilty ,the abuse I put that wand through

I enjoyed me time there , look forward to doing it again

Im sure the glides pitched the tune..

The clear winner for ease of use, "Screamability" AND longevity was the Sapphire.

What is most important to YOU?

I sure would love a stiff and sturdy swivle on mine..

You Devastator and Tonyator wand owners should do yourselves a favor and one by one, very carefully remove the Allen set screws on the swivle and apply some Anti Seize you the threads.

Than apply some to the inner workings of the 1/8th QCs..

They live a hard life if you're a busy cleaner.

Cleaning performance used to be most important. My old Steam Way wand seemed to have good air flow likely due to the way the vac tube of the wand met the top of the triangle, but it was the blast of water flow at the center of the wand that would really get things clean, especially with the protection shield design that helped keep the temperature up at the carpet-wand interface.

However, I don't need as much cleaning action in my wand these days, because I have been using rotary jet extraction for the last 15 or so years. No more chop stroking either.

I do like a triangle design for getting a little further under cabinets like in bathrooms, but with the Greenhorn I just make due. I like the 5 jets across the 14 inch wide head and that are evenly placed with the same jet size and pattern. I have a similar Dang wand with titanium tube, also 5 jets. That wand and a titanium stair tool was bought on special from Tony Dang both for $300!

I have often wished I had a swivel in tight places, but again I make due in my old age. There is a lot to like about some of these wands. I would prefer wands with evenly positioned jets, thus I never considered the old Prochem Titanium 6 jet, nor the older pmf titanium 6 jet.

Tom's wand looks fantastic, Tony's looks good too, and Mighty seems to also have improved. Just from looking at the wands from afar, those are the ones that most interest me at this time.

I just don't understand how the bentley with it's unusual metal glide can glide smoothly without tearing or pulling up carpet strands.

Exactly my feeling Loren, although all these wands in high flow mode can clean well, I chose to clean dirty carpet with my 360 and use the wand for edging, stairs, dry strokes and light soil situations.

No wand can compare to rotary brush extraction.

When Tom comes out with a 1.5, I'll open my wallet, until then my M12 answer SS12 are king

My guys on the other hand love cheating with their HUMMERMOUNTSAND love he-man wands. We now have two Tony TI Challengers and a Old Style Tom, that I hope like hell will all last for another year...

Mike,
The wand will easily go another year, the swivel has some play but not much more than a new one..... I was super happy with it, Mike if you really look at the wand and swivel there is NO DOUBT that thing has been through hell, the Qd's have cut flipping grooves in the swivel housing, worn a flat spot in one area of the housing.....This is outstanding really.
Plus I could hear the ball bearings rolling around in there....DRY as can be.

Mike don't get disappointed in the wand, use the beezzeee till she fails.....I was bumbed that the things has been VORTEX welded and I couldn't access it to get to the o rings.....but believe it or not You are the owner.....and who is doing the maintenace....YOU, this is just showing how the wand will hold up under techs use. I am not saying this badly, Jr. and your crew are great guys and busy as hell, and at the end of the day they are ready to get the heck out of there....this is just PURE REALITY I took away some really good info from my visit.

The amount of time on that wand is like 3 years for some maybe more and crap I could hardly tell there was much more play than new....and if I could have accessed the back O ring I bet money it would be the same as new.
I am greatful I was able to check on it and see what things might need to be addressed, I clean my wand and the end of each day, give it a light shot of wd40 this gives it a protective coating for the next day to keep it from scaling.
I learned this trick back in my dirt bike days we used to spray our bikes with a little WD40....yeah the dust would stick but when the day of riding was done a simple garden hose rinse and it would all come off and a new coat of wd40 was applied.

Also this wand was mine one of the original 3 I built....I might have used red locktight on all that crap back then.
I can see my NEW lines are better than those.....and those havent failed yet....just a lot of things to be happy about.
Jets, valves, check valves, all of these things need to be checked they are hard working parts.....You would be amazed at how many clean with busted ones and never even know it, all that crap just screwing up the spray pattern but guys just keep on cleaning....it has happened to me also.
Just use it till it fails am sure there will be a replacement ready to be tortured when that time comes.

The wands I am putting together I have complete faith will last forever, Yes they need to be maintained, any swivel wand is more like anything high perfomance, if proper care is taken it will be just fine. We have put together a program that will address any issues down the road, we will take good care of our customers

THANK YOU for putting it through the paces of real cleaning.
