My boxxer 427 is only producing around 180 max heat and that's only after plugging vacuum. The heat exchanger is relatively new. Any ideas on where to start?

Check your hydraulic arm. See if it's turning all the way to one side when it's in hot water mode. My friend's old Titan was having a problem after 1500 hours. I think it's the flapper inside the Heat Exchanger. It probably has the same heat exchanger as your 427

OK. I'll try and locate it.

Part #14 on page 1-36 and 1-37 is the part I'm describing that might be messed up connected to the air cylinder, not diverting the exhaust all the way.

Does it look like it's moving the whole distance when you turn the heat mode on and off?
Sorry for my slow response my boy had wrestling tournaments all weekend. I unhooked the linkage and ran the valve all the way over by hand just to make sure it was moving the correct distance but I still can't get over 180.

Did you check to see if there's water constantly dripping in your waste tank when the machine is off?

When the machine is running, the drip will go a lot faster. That's probably your problem. It's a brass sensor attached to your water box. Replace it and that should fix the problem

OK I think I'm on track with you, part 25 shows as a nipple for the high temperature solenoid.
I was talking about the high temperature solenoid itself being the problem if it's constantly dripping. and to plug the hose that's going into the nipple. If that fixes your heat problem, then you know to replace that solenoid
