so now we have used our zipper supper spinner on a few jobs and on the last job we decided to do some test areas where in some we would scrub and hit with the zipper ss and some we would just hit with the zipper supper spinner.

both areas looked exactly the same when finished and dry.

do you scrub when using the super spinner or do you just got to town.

also i know there will be scenarios where we will absolutely need to scrub but most areas in offices are not this way.

do you scrub?

Maybe if its hooked up to a machine that puts out warm water running high flow and your cleaning a nasty restaurant.

Rarely scrub.

Sometimes a grease pit just to try and get prespray mixed into the grease....but also find it faster to maybe prespray the grease to get to the carpet, then prespray the carpet now that we can see it.

The thing is an animal!

I do both. If I have a helper I normally scrub and then SS it. No helper just SS but may slow down slightly. On large jobs helper is pretreating and scrubbing with cimex so I dont have to stop. Can clean some serious square footage that way.

How does the CX-12 compare? It's a spinner too
I have both. Havent used the cx-15 since I got the SS but... if your on a budget the cx-15 is a cheap alternative. Your not going to get the same production with it but performance wise they are pretty damn close. That being said my cx-15 is for sale but you aint getting my SS.

I demoed a cx-15 a couple years ago on a movie theater I am doing again this week. Last night I cleaned the area that I used the cx-15 on. I can still see the circles where the jets distorted the carpet fibers at the beginning of the stroke. I would take a ss over the cx anytime, it might be closer if you could walk forward with the cx.

I only ever used the cx on commercial and the trick is to get the jets spinning before you place it on the carpet. Once they are spinning they are less likely to create crop circles. So as I was walking forward right before I got to where I wanted to start cleaning I would pull the trigger and lower the head down to start cleaning, never leaving it sit in 1 place.

Exactly as Justin stated, I like the performance of the cx15 on the back stroke just don't like the overall operation aside from the initial cleaning pass as tilting it back and walking back forwards gets old quickly.

Wasted movement.... That's like a threesome, double the effort for the same outcome....:eekk:

Especially if you are going to do long passes in a large room.
