So after MF and on our long Ride back, my brain had lots of time to think about some things that were talked about in Scottsdale.
Just about a week before we were leaving for Scottsdale I was approached by a company that had seen our carpet cleaning results and I told them that we were not really looking to add another account like this, but the emails honestly wouldn't stop ( Funny when you need work it is like pulling teeth, but when you don't it is like a Vegan with unlimited chips and a tub of POI )
So I agreed to have a sit down with them, while in the meeting one of the girls asked me if I did carpet repairs? I said YES BUT only if the repairs are small enough and can be done at that time, and no extra trips getting materials, I said I am here because of my carpet cleaning skills NOT for repairs, I don't have the room to carry all the tools and extra carpet pieces to be able to rob a closet to do repairs and the put something close back in the closet, I told her that is like a whole other biz and really needs to be treated as such.
She said she was in a bind...so I said I will do what I can, she handed me 5 work orders LOL.
So I was able to fix 2 of the 5 but due to time of the upcoming MF I told her I just can't do the others.
So this brings me back to someone I met at MF MR. Robert Atlas and how he has brought the two together into one company.
The thing I do like about what this new account is offering is that the jobs were all occupied and can be set up on my time, they are not turnovers just work orders to be completed and not in a big rush.
So I have my truck that really just sits I really don't drive it, but I was thinking about this and just thinking maybe of just turning it into a carpet repair rig?? Put a nice snug top shell on it and all the carpet tools, extra carpet pieces would have a home, and when a repair call comes in the truck would be set up to handle the jobs. No forgetting tools because they are in other vehicles. One vehicle for that type of work.
So what do you guys think? Is this vehicle a ok choice? Is this worth going forward with? I have 6 PM accounts and ALL have asked me to do them, but as above I always turn them down.
Please give me your guys professional input thanks.
