This is the first weekend all year where I have zero planned, no visitors, bike or 4 wheeler adventures, no work, nada.

In between naps I may write up a bid.

Next week's work load is gonna kick my ass.

I'm gonna hang Christmas lights before it gets too cold and I freeze my ass off.

Maybe do some Christmas shopping too if we can squeeze it in. I'd like be done before Thanksgiving. I plan on using Prime for my wife. Last year I bought her everything from Amazon.

I just tell my wife to go out and buy her something for xmas. She does and even comes home and wraps it and puts it under our fake tree. I simply have no patience shopping unless it's for me!

Explain to them that you have a minimum. The minimum is for each set up and take down.

Estimate sent.

The one local dude there that I refer when too busy is also bidding, as I'm sure are others.

Our list of references is impressive but I doubt we'll get it

Not to sound too negative... But.....we always have to expect problems when dealing with hotels/resorts.

Even when they have us set up for 8 rooms in a bundle....by the time you show up in the morning, it changes because "oh yeah that guest, in room 3, decided to stay and guest 5 and 6 as well...but we have instead of those three rooms, three other ones on the other end of the resort, rooms 47, 49, 68."

So in their mind everything is cool...but you are setting up three times.

Always expect this. It is out of their control too in a way.

Best business decision might be offering hotels in house training...from proper vacuuming to minor spot removing to actual "housemen" carpet cleaning with their own porty and 175.
I have done a property with a bunch of maids and housemen where I came in and explained to them about proper vacuuming and spot cleaning.

Been there done that with trying to train in house staff about proper stain/vacuuming etc. Setting them up with 5 gal containers of my spot remover etc. It just doesn't work. Had a account where the cook of all people went into the janitor's closet and emptied the whole 5 gal spot remover and just took the empty container home. The in house cleaning staff just went back to using either their own store bought RESOLVE type of cleaners or anything on their cart.
These people are stupid and I just gave up. But now I don't guarantee spots when they call for me to remove. Because by the time I get there they've already put two or three chems like drain cleaner on it. NO amount of education will fix their stupidity.
