You gotta pick your battles. What is the collective overall outcome by blasing a crazy fucker? Will it do more harm than good for Mike’s business? What is the net result? When counting cards less than +1 means don’t bet.

Oh I agree with you, I thought at the time that Mikey paid for it already. That's stuff is way too expensive to ignore despite the other person struggle. Since he didn't pay for it, I definitely would've done a different approach..

the problem with letting it rip is it can be just as embarrasing for both sides

It can be.. but when there's money on the line and you expected pro job to be done. Instead, get shoddy work, what would you do? Sometime to get the issue resolved, you have to leave negative review to get attention and give them opportunity to resolve it. It seems that Mikeys approached worked but without posting it by allowing the guy see this thread. He did good.

Money hadn't changed hands, poor outcome yes lost time etc but no money loss

Don't know your respective Consumer Laws but here service provider has to have opportunity to put right.

If they refuse there is small claims court which costs $45 to lodge up to $5k claim $150 to lodge upto $10k claim (figures might not be current haven't been to one in bout 10yrs)

No lawyers involved so no extra cost, heard by third party who can legally enforce reparation and refund claim cost from the other party

Can I assume those of you who feel this way do not leave, or read business reviews?

some of us just aren't vindictive azzholes I guess .
which is how your long winded rant came off ..butthurt and vindictive

instead of asking "what would a bunch of CC'ers do"
the question should be "will this action resolve a problem"
(as Stockwell The Younger pointed out)

did he personally ever see the complaint areas?
or was he relying on his guys' word?

I dont know about the first three visits but he said he saw it after the 4th abd declared it good enough.

Hard to imagine a gun toting bad ass such as yourself letting a guy have the last word in a situation like this.

I doubt you know anyone more forgiving than I, but his comment on my employees peeling the vinyl off really pissed me off.

I read them but don't leave them. I'd have beat the stuffins out the heavy bag and gone on about my business.

As bad a the service is, a bad review can really fook up someone. He knew it, he acted irresponsible and deserved it, I just wouldn't care to be "that person". I'd move on, life is to short to fret about it.

I left a bad review on facebook to get the owners attention and it worked. Got the problem resolved and changed it to a positive review.

I don't like it when someone blames employees for things they didn't do or to cover up something they did wrong. Just shows their character and makes it easy not to do business with them.

I would have left a review, but as others said, would have condensed it a bit - and would have only done it had I paid for it and not received a refund.

Ultimately, how you went about it, got you the desired result. At this point, don't post, let his actions and poor workmanship speak for themselves and let others handle writing negative reviews about this guy. Obviously you won't recommend him and if in the future someone asks for a recommendations, tell them to steer clear of this guy and leave it at that.

I'll leave a bad review as quickly as I'll leave good ones. I don't use them as leverage or retaliation and I do it after my transaction/experience is complete.

Not referring necessarily to this particular Yelp review.

Some here view reporting a bad business as vindictive. I disagree.
I consider not writing a review on a bad business as selfish and uncaring. It's like watching a rock on the road and not removing it or at least warning your fellow car drivers about the danger. Its the famous FU attitude- I only care about #1 and the rest of you go FYs. Mean spirited.

You write a fair review, stating the facts. You help your fellow passengers/drivers.
Besides- Anybody with a sense of business knows that how the business owner responds can actually win (not lose) him business. It is an opportunity. And if the business responds well it registers as a plus.
And you can add a follow up review.

So FFS (for f... sake) don't just sit there and watch other drivers rack their cars. Sooner or later, it will come back at you.

he doesn't have your money.
He's out more than you
AND...I've learned to pick battles worth fighting

Also, long winded reviews seem like a pussy's way to settle a score to me

I have a local car dealership that I should be dropping a review on....

They also are hanging onto a pile of money I am told GM authorized they were to pay me for downtime.

Magically is not appearing.

I filed another case with GM... GM told me to work with my dealer... I told them wasn't going to happen...and made sure GM documented my complaint...

They Piss me off one more time and I am going to release the hounds on them... PERRY MASON style!
