New Cerakote ceramic-coating lowers the heat radiation on all exhaust components by more than 30% to reduce component fatigue and extend your truckmount life—plus keep the van interior cooler! Powered by a liquid-cooled 31 HP Kubota gasoline engine, the Apex 570 uses the patented Sapphire Scientific triple-source thermal well system to deliver maximum consistent heat. Features a sleek new design and the superior performance you expect from Prochem and Sapphire!

The future of Truckmount heat technology?

as they pack components tighter in an effort to reduce footprint size, I s'pose every little bit helps .
Don't they put auxiliary fans in some now to help keep from cooking belts prematurely?

Seems like the technology is similar to the automobile industry. New cars are great when they work. If you are ok with trading in ever 100k miles or paying to have it dealer serviced they are really neat. At least the tech trickles down over time and becomes mainstream if it's really effective.

they do! just replaced my belts 2500 hours as a maintence.

Over complication when all we want is to squirt and suck with a SIMPLE machine . Something that doesn't require proprietary parts.

It’s real simple that’s why I don’t get the 25 k compared to 10 years ago a more complicated 405 was 17 k

These machines aren’t cheap heck Mikes entry level 370 is 18k

I got over 3300 hours on the 370 belts before they started loosing teeth. Changing the belts were a bit of a pain having never done it. Next time it should be much easier, most normal somewhat mechanical people should be able to do it.

I did this 5 or 6 years ago when I replaced the oem manifold with a new SS one. I took it to a coating specialist who called it "Race Coating". It was done on both inside and out with an additional ceramic on the outside. Guess it may have helped some but it would still glow red when hot.
Eventually the inside coating started to come off.

What I’am reading is its 30% cooler on the components and interior of the van!

Not actually generating more heat, but since it’s already so hot no need!

Ceramic coating a giant leap back to the 90's

its works but its nothing new unless you design TM's.. then its cutting edge!

Well like Larry said, SS condenses they’re machine size and it’s more compact!

Less room to breathe so any type of heat sink would benefit the system.

It could actually make the HE run cooler

By holding the heat in the exhaust, the exhaust charge is denser which means it gets pushed out easier, the engine can then suck in cooler air easier which makes everthing cooler. Thats how it works on performance engines

if Cobblet would of learned to do cool vids like that, maybe someone would actually GAS if his vacs produced 22.8735% more whatever

Legends is certainly more "well formulated" in their presentation
but what does a "30% reduction" in exhaust pipe temps actually equate to inside the cowling of a TM?

I have a hundred bukz that says the temps around belts, wiring harnesses and components isn't reduced by anything remotely close to 30%

The 30-35% temp reduction is commonly quoted in the performance car world, which should make it easier on components but more than likely a less efficient heat exchanger

it doesn't reduce the ambient temp "under the hood" anywhere near 30% though
They say it "reduces" it, but not by how much
which suggests to me, it ain't all that much
