$475/month????? I need to use that money for my tech that I hope to hire soon. But that is a lot cheaper than hiring someone to sit at my desk, surfing Facebook all day, while they're taking phone calls. If these busy phone call days keep getting busier, Lupe will be my next investment
????
What's the ???. all about?

How much would I have to pay your wife to man a phone 40 hours a week

How in the world can you do all of that, answer the phone, schedule, price, get directions, blah, blah, and clean carpet? I can understand with commercial biz, but residential?

Normally, I'm wearing my bluetooth so I can talk while I'm working. When I get a call, the majority ask the first question of "how much would it cost?"
So I ask them a few questions (while I'm wanding), like "what do you need cleaned?" "what's the condition of the carpet?" and "where is it located". When I get those answers, I give them a good average number on what I would charge them after I find out how many areas need cleaned.

Then we talk about scheduling. After I tell them whether or not I can get to their place this week, (that's when text messaging becomes my digital secretary), I ask them to please send me a text message of their information so I don't lose it, and i'll get back to them right after I've finished the job I'm on.

It works, but it can be a headache when I'm getting these calls every 30min during the jobs, and in between the jobs.

I get it, but it wouldn’t take much of that to get on your last nerve. I don’t do
residential, but if I’m in one house, I don’t want to be bothered much. Answering the phone is one thing, but all the other is entirely different. That would be mentally and physically exalting!

Almost all of my new customers are referrals, so they’re almost always cool with me asking if I can call them back between jobs. My current customers are quickly scheduled on my phone. I text them the price as soon as I can get into SM between jobs.

I yam, but. All the 50 questions would exhaust me from each one. I just think a one man show long term would be difficult, but kudos if you can. My [HASH=5]#mom[/HASH] and [HASH=6]#pop[/HASH] was hard enough, but at least I had [HASH=5]#mom[/HASH].

I regard the “IRS Enforcement Department” calls from India as welcome diversion. Herself gaped at me when I administered verbal discipline to one of those insects Friday. She thinks it isn’t nice to say certain things, but I disagree.

Then there is Alex from Yelp who calls me from five different states, including a local town in Alabama.

The silent calls from Chattanooga, always on Sprint. Nobody is there, nobody answers when I call back.

When I’m working and I get those calls...sometimes, I lose my patience and quietly, but probably loudly, shout out a few offending words

and then there's real-time booking where clients will be your administrator. (for less than 1/2 the price) Don't tell anyone...
