Stopped by a vacuum store I had never been in before and bought this beauty for $289. I like it because it has an adjustable height and decent edging hose and tools. HEPA filtered with replaceable paper or cloth bags. On my commercial carpet in the shop, it pulls forward like a pile lifter. Seems very powerful.

According to Shopaholics Anonymous, there are several different types of shopaholics, and they are as follows:

  • Compulsive shopaholics who shop when they are feeling emotional distress
  • Trophy shopaholics who are always shopping for the perfect item
  • Shopaholics who want the image of being a big spender and love flashy items
  • Bargain seekers who purchase items they don’t need because they are on sale
  • Bulimic shoppers who get caught in a vicious cycle of buying and returning
  • Collectors who don’t feel complete unless they have one item in each color or every piece of a set

OK!! Now you're talking.
I love stereo equipment. And yes, $$$ wise, the sky is the limit.
What speakers do you have and the amp and CD player?

It all works. I’m chasing perfect sound reproduction.... problem is, in the audio world, that usually means spending 50-75k.... yeah, can’t do that.... my current rig is around 25k...
I'm glad I got old and can't hear that well anymore. I stopped buying good audio cuz I can't hear good stuff anyway. Plus, sound is just not that important anymore--CD's, iTunes, it's all gone downhill for decades for me anyway. Have fun with your good sound while you still can hear it, Sierra Clean Care.

If I have time this evening, or on the weekend, I’ll post the list....

The real smart collectors collect bicycles. They are cheap and go down in value fast, they take up a lot of room so you have to stop at somewhere between 6 and 12. If you buy used your whole collection can be under 2 or 3 thousand. My business bought all my junk. It spent probably around $8k on $20k of stuff. On a good day I might get 2k out of my collection. But I own it---and I ride the shite out of a couple of them.

Not into classical music so it works perfect playing my hardcore VIOLENT heavy metal.

Got to use my new sanitaire this afternoon on about 1200 sqft nylon cut pile in a penthouse. Cleaning lady just vacuumed with a Dyson. I explained I was trying out a new vacuum, no extra charge. You could hear all the little bits of gravel and stuff being picked up. The height adjustment lets me get the brush roll engaged to the point you can feel the vacuum pulling you forward. Filled up an entire bag. Nice long cord. I think this one is a keeper.

Small independent vacuum store in Vancouver. I have driven by many times but first time I stopped in. They have every type of vacuum you can imagine. Windsors, proteams, orecks, sanitaire, etc. Every type of bag you can imagine, including bags for my certified pile lifter. I will be stopping more often.

If you want to REALLY ROCK OUT, get rid of the 901’s, and buy some CerwinVega speakers....

Stores that you can actually try stuff out are so rare. I'd pay more if I could shop local like that. Just ordered a new protean today off amazon. Crazy rebate. 308 bucks for the 15inch model.

I like how close the brush gets to the edge of the vacuum. It looks like it'll do good against the walls. I don't like how long the vac hose is. That seems to effect the quality of suction when the hose is twice as long as it should be. Can you show us the belt on yours? It doesn't show that in the video

Proteam is good, just clogs a lot. Carry a coat hanger on your van.
I had 2 Proteam backpacks die and I couldn't repair them and Im pretty good at that kinda stuff. Trying out a Sanitaire backpack and so far I really like it. Very quiet and HEPA and powerful--plus it is made to stand upright while you vacuum which you can't do with Proteam. good tools included, too. Cheaper, too!

It would be nice to see some one create a power head for a back pack vac. I see lots of cleaners using backpacks with flat floor tools on carpet.
