The CRB/Tom Wand fad is wrong.

That’s funny. I’m sure he is correct about the RVB. But he #sold me on the crb, Lol. I’m still
sold for the purposes I intend, tile, rugs and even grooming after Cimexing long hallways:biggrin:

I wonder why Rotovac doesn’t make a quad 360i brush head?

Anyone know how the Mytee rotary jet extractors are performing?
I love mine. Had it 6 years now and it does a great job. Im considering the Trex Jr but not sure i want something that light. My buddy is using the Jr on every job and loves it.

Rinse the edges, corners and areas not needing the RE, then wand groom your way out of the house.

RV wants to send me a XL but I love the lightweight of the i too much to give up for the increased efficiency.
I agree the XL is too big and honestly the 360i motor for us is driving the 15inch plate no problem still easily restoring the heavy traffic areas.

They do have a new unit coming out though, looks really cool.

Because there is no need for one.

The quad was a fix for the streaky brushless 3 port

The BH 3 does not streak and 3 is better for quicker drying.

I can see that the 3 port may dry a little faster, but the 4 port does have the cleaning advantage of 33% more flushing power. The 3 port flow is probably better matched to lower heat units, while the 4 port can take advantage of equipment that can keep the temperature up with the extra flow. No streaking problem with the quad either. Riding directly on the 4 vac shoes may dig in a little better? Probably can’t go wrong with either Rotovac when matched to a compatible unit.

I often use the quad on stairs. How does the brush head work on steps?

There's no comparison. My Butler is limping right now with a pulse in the line and I can't draw rinse at all. I have a pulsation dampener that will be delivered tomorrow that will hopefully clear it up. Anyway, these results were from a Code Red pretreatment and a fella that knows his way around a rotary extractor. Even delivery of the prespray was kinda all over the place with the line bouncing 100psi. I was without help today, so it was me and my Rotovac. The coolest part of it all is that you can get the very best results and not be tired in the end, like not tired at all. All the work is in setup and tear down.

That carpet was every bit as filthy as it looks in the pic...even worse.

sounds like an air leak somewhere in the water draw side , Russ
not a pulse dampener

I just went through a bunch of o rings and did the chem pump diaphragm. This thing is really killing me right now. Butler and Saiger are saying pulse dampener at this point. I did Butlers pump swap just over a year ago. I'll probably not do that again if it turns out to be the pump. I'll take it to someone local to rebuild, for a fraction of the time and cost.

I feel like I'm on an island sometimes. I suppose that's why I'm here!

I miss this place. Been busy with work and coaching my 8 year old's basketball and running him up to Taekwondo. He just got his Orange belt yesterday.

I'm not intimately familiar with Butlers
don't know if any check valves to prevent back feed
but can you back feed it?

to back feed, rig a QD to a garden hose and plug it in to solution line outlet.
Push water back thru and look for tiny drips

We had him pull the Chem injection pump apart (I rebuilt it about a year ago with him) ....and while I was strolling the aisle of Walmart getting shop supplies the other day, we walked through pulling and checking the check valves.

Cannot find an air leak, but trying the Pulsation Dampener is next at this point.

He has replaced all o rings...now it's just finding that leaky gremlin if this doesn't do it, or cat pump is taking a crap.

Good luck Russ... I've spent thousands over the years trying to get the Chem meter system operating correctly on our Butlers....

Only to have them crap out again within a few months

I shut the ball valves and take it out of the equation... clear water rinse only

But I'm a hack and have more important things in life to concern myself with

My WM and my butler both thump hard a lot. No water box in neither. But if I keep my pressure under 4 or 5 hundred psi its not as bad and even goes away.

I got my butler from hagopian and it has a different chem feed pump than butlers. Maybe ask Brian Hannah about that pump. It seems to be working fine for me so far but I haven't put many hours on it yet.

My WM has done it since I got it almost 3 years without any issues.

I put the chemical feed on my custom slide in, on the incoming fresh water line. Pretty bullet proof. The moment you open the valve, water flows into the water box and draws chemical. The only downfall is you have to adjust it on every hook up as water pressure varies from house to house.

how does a pulse dampener effect PSI?
he could remove the dampener and screw a plug in the hole temporarily to find out if that's it, no??

I'd do that before I let Butler hose me on their price for a dampener
