Working over in Willy's neighborhood this morning. Hell of a windstorm going, second half is still blowing strong. Trees and power lines down everywhere. I was cleaning carpets and upholstery with the truck. Just finished the carpets and about to start on a large sectional and the power goes out. No problem, I am right by the window and can see what I am doing. If I was using a porty, i'd be out of luck. Have to pack up and go home. Happens when you least expect it. Over a hundred thousand people without power so far today and the wind is gusting to 55-60mph.

Whoa! What part of Canada are you in?
We had heavy rain all day here in the South. If it got cold enough, the snow would be tremendous:eekk:

In the Vancouver area. Weather is usually quite good but we are prone to wind storms once in a while. Just south of us in Washington, they had a powerful tornado. Really did a number on some homes and businesses.

I heard a while back Seattle had some dry weather and it turned into a bad situation with a lot of pollution in the air. It made me think that the reason it rains a lot there is because its a natural geographic air filter.

You make a good point about porties and power. Same goes with powered rotaries vs zipper.

Peak winds were over 75 mph today. Lots of damage including a famous pier breaking in half from drifting boats crashing into it. White Rock BC.
Yup, we just got the wind about an hour ago.... she’s raining sideways right now....

Good night to stay home by the fire.
Good thing I had the chimney swept last week. I also rented a log splitter last Sunday morning, and chopped up 3 cords of fire wood worth of logs laying around the property. 90% of it was birch. Slow burn, no sparks, and hotter than an Icelandic supermodel.... I’m working tomorrow and Saturday, then off until the 2nd.... I’ve got a date with Sailor Jerry...

Ugh. You portable guys. A PORTABLE won’t suck a fart out of a paper sack.

Neither would a truckmount in downtown Vancouver, NYC or SF.
This room is suppose to be portable friendly. Have you noticed some porty guys are no longer on MB?

Don’t be so sensitive. You can pick on me for spending 30K on a truckmount.
I believe all cleaning methods are equally effective as long as the the cleaner is putting their heart into it.

No you don't. Be honest! The only people that really believe that are porty users.😁

Richard- read with the theme of
Mission impossible playing in the background:

Good morning agent Taco, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to clean the carpets in a Manhattan apartment with your truckmount.
Should you accept the offer, but fail, the agency shall have no choice but to consider your team a broken arrow; "the agency" will have no choice but to send "the cleaners" after your team.

This message will self destruct in 5 seconds.
