Like I said, Will in Vegas gave them my name. They sub out work nation wide, at handsome rates I must say.

I mentioned that I may know a few premium knuckleheads around the globe if they need referrals.

Being well versed and equipped in all methods is a must, especially compound and OP

don't know enough to be dangerous regarding cleaning with solvent soaked ground corn cob
so this is a serious question...

aren't the costs of material substantially higher?
what about time?

say a 1000sf of moderately soiled wide open area
How much in material and time?

With TM, that's roughly $8-10 bucks costs (not including labor) and an hour and a half time pull up to pull away

I used HOST exclusively for 8 years and once cleaned 13 floors of the Time/Life Building with Host.

From Will..

Really depends on how heavily soiled the carpet is. Light to medium soiling I could get 10k square feet done w one bucket. Main point of it would be to put a little down in higher traffic areas just to keep brushes clean. Residential wise, you can clean 30 standard rooms of carpet with one bucket.

I'm not sure about the Milliken product but Host usually says about 100 sqft per pound. You call also apply a liquid prespray on spots and high traffic areas.

Use a decent encapsulating JIMMY SHAMPOO and scatter a few handfuls of compound in high traffic areas "as needed ".
The 20 lb box of compound is around $53 so yeah its crazy expensive.
If you are looking to use much of it look up www.DRYMAX.com in Cincinnati, OHIO
They have a better product at less cost.
The biggest problem with this crap is the clean up time. It gets all over when you CRB it into the carpet and frankly is a pain in the ass. DON'T be the typical carpet cleaner and think more is better, it's NOT with compound.
With the improving encapsulating solutions that really crystalize why use compound ?

If the carpet is really super dirty apply Spartan's CONSUME as a prespray, agitate it into the carpet allow 10-20 minutes dwell time, and then repeat with your encapsulating solution of choice (most of them suck so get a good one). The consume is a powerful enzyme that does most of the heavy lifting, the encap juice becomes your " rinse".
