I don't see the value in redying an old carpet. Color repair however, is a nice skill to have.

I used to do whole room dye jobs and color repair. I went through Steve Greenberg's Dyco class as one of my IICUC certs. The whole room gig was usually apartments, which soon turned out to be never getting all of the areas to look like new because of various problems with the carpet fibers being damaged. Suffice to say, I quit doing whole rooms but still do spot dyeing. I don't see much of a need for it and definitely could not base a business on doing just that.

What happened to the dirt army franchise attempt in California? I thought that was a pretty good setup and could grow really fast in this generation. I think the majority of us owner/ops just getting started would rather have that dirt army wrap than that cartoon chemist wrap.
