I just tried it on my sprayborg. The white tag rotates at about 60 rpm.

That 100+ revolutions per minute (phoenix) doesn't potentially cause the same fiber damage as a rotary?

I always figured Don King was in another galaxy...

Never tried a jiggler, but always figured they were better for the less experienced.
Cant see how a noob wouldnt/couldnt do just as much damage with that rpm
Good lubrication. Mine is with a 21 inch pad. It would be faster with a smaller one.

Nah, the oscillations/tamping balance it out. When i tried it in Scottsdale, padman, i was sold.

Research the “tamping action”. Mikey will slam me, but that’s OK.

The TRS “tamping action” is nothing more than a washer that is attached to one of the three bolts that simply tilts the driver a few millimeters. That offset tilts the pad driver which actually keeps the driver from ever being completely level with the surface.

Because of the “tamping action”, the TRS driver only rides on its outer edge. Much like a rotary.

When I owned a TRS Spyder, I didn’t like how the Spyder didn’t “dig” like my Orbot did, so I removed the washer, which slowed down the rotations, but the machine cleaned better.

Problem was, I couldn’t push the machine forward as fast because the extra friction slowed it down.

As far as deep cleaning goes, my Orbot cleaned the best, though not as fast.

I could push the Spyder fast, but the pad skimmed over the carpet, until I removed the tamping washer.

I ended up preferring the ECO machines because they didn’t use the “tamping”, which gave me a better clean, but the beefier motor still allowed me to push the ECO as fast as the Spyder when it had the “tamping” washer.

So... for me, the ECO gave me the same clean as the TRS machine WITHOUT the stupid “tamping” washer, but with the same speed as the TRS machine WITH the tamping washer.

I report, you decide.

I can't comment on how they get their "tamping" action but after having used the phoenix on the back offices of the hotel we were staying in, In Phoenix, I was quite impressed by how easy it was to maneuver and how fast and easy it cleaned. I use a Sprayborg and found it quite comparable, if not better. It cleaned well and looking at the pads afterwards, they were dirty all over, not just on the edges.

I think the Orbot cleans the best of all of them, just a little slow.

I think the TRS machines clean well, but took the tamping washer off and it was better... when I tried it.

The offset washer is only a few mm thick, so the pads should still contact the surface, just not with the full head weight.

The TRS machines certainly fly...

My 100% filthy Glad Pads prove this tilt theory to be bullshit

Speed 5 on the TRS is indeed fast, much prefer speed 3

And if you want to go slow, put it on speed 1

Only the TRInity given you the options

I don't know if they still make the sprayborg but new it was about $4500. I believe the comparable machine from Trs about the same. The vibe is about $2500. I've never used the vibe but love my sprayborg. Easier to use than a Cimex and nearly as good.
