Actually, I specialize in church janitorial. The reason my customers use us is we provide so many services that they need. Carpet cleaning is just one of many services. I rarely, and I mean rarely, have any competition in my services. In fact, it’s rare they ask how much. I’m usually on a schedule or can determine what needs to be done.
I assume that those churches are in your area and you have built up a reputation with other churches and companies that you did good work.
A traveling cleaning company that works doing national chains also has the confidence of the national headquarters.
A traveling cleaning company just focusing on churches would also need some sort of reason to trust them. It sounds like those travelling band of grifters who travel the country selling black paint as driveway sealer.
From the other side, how would you get payment? Cash up front? It's been my experience that just because it's a church or house of worship doesn't mean that they are honest.
What happens if there are issues with the carpet when it dries? Do you go back and address them?
How about if your equipment is damaged or stolen, stuck in the middle of no where? Or get jumped because you are in the wrong part of town at the wrong time of day.
If it was me, I would focus more on growing my core area and save your sightseeing for vacation.
