The devil is in the details. It's easy to make something LOOK like another machine, but hard to verify material specs and build quality are similar.

However the TM industry has latched onto the Chinese made Eurus blowers that are now in some top level machines. So I took a chance.

Time will tell. They were a near fit replacement for the Sutorbilts, had to drill a few holes and do some cutting to make them "drop in". Also replaced two broken sight gauges within weeks.

Everyone loves a conspiracy theory. haha

I spoke with Mytee today about this and asked them directly where the EcoPro's are being manufactured. They were very resolute telling me the EcoPros are built in their factory in San Diego. Even went so far as saying they're working 3 shifts a day building them. They told me that they do bring in pumps, motors, and heaters for their machines from a variety of sources, but machine assembly is all done in California.

I told them to have a look at this post. They weren't surprised - they're aware the Chinese are attempting to replicate the machine. What we have here is basically the same thing that happened with the Chinese CRB machine knock-offs. Chinese companies are famous for making knock-offs of just about everything.

Look very closely at the Chinese pictures above and compare them to images of the EcoPro machine https://www.mytee.com/products/eco17-pro-all-surface-orbital-floor-machine/. If you look closely you'll notice a bunch of differences.
I have a former employee that work for my security guard business back in the day. Currently he is working for a high rise condo a couple of miles from CIA HQ in Langley. This summer he is in the lobby when 60 federal agents swarmed the building, about a dozen were in full tactical and loaded for an attack. They seized all elevators and stair cases and quickly headed to the 7th floor where they entered a unit. Out the lobby comes a Chinese couple in custody. FBI agents were there 24/7 for three days with the freight elevator in frequent use. He was in the unit a couple of hours after the arrests and said it looked like NASA launch control with a mattress on the floor and a few boxes of clothes. Whether they were targeting CIA or defense contractors all around the neighborhood he doesn't know , but they had installed satellite equipment / dishes on the roof and balcony. Apparently they had installed hidden cameras saw the agents coming and just opened the door.

Here is the weird thing, they had a new baby. Christmas last year they went home to China and came back without the baby. One day after not seeing the child for a while he inquired of her, " how is your little one doing ? I haven't seen her lately." She said oh fine she is in China with my parents so she will know who they are. :headscratch:

No clue what their target was and NOTHING showed up in the papers or on the news. I wonder if Mytee had someone working for them, an industrial spy targeting them or just reverse engineering of units bought from retail sources. Obviously there is a lot of knocking off of stuff between manufacturers but I didn't think our little hub of commerce would attract this kind of counterfeiting.

Next thing you know there will be a Ming's Board with a counterfeited Dyson Vac as a logo. Maybe a IICR-CHING certification and of course a MING's Fest with street vendors selling egg rolls and noodles.

It’s definitely not the Mytee ECO... I own two.

Most of the hardware is different and the motors are different.

Mytee motors have their capacitors on the backside of the motor.

My ex-wife’s Gucci bag looked legit, too.

Sorry, but there is no way in the world that this company is "knocking off" Mytee. Clearly, they make Mytee's products. I'm sure they don't ship fully assembled and the only "work" they're doing in San Diego is assembling everything. Do you know how much a T-Rex would cost if they did any manufacturing in CA? 😅

We can see in our site analytics where our Excellent-Supply.com page visits come from. Country number 1 is the USA. Country number 2 is Canada. Country number 3 is Australia. Country number 4 is China. Why China? We don't sell into China. So why are they interested in our website? My guess is their bots are harvesting data on various industries to find what's hot. BTW, I've recently installed a Geo site blocker to avoid countries we have no interest in selling to.

If someone there is REALLY interested the site blocker would just pique their interest, and certainly NOT stop them.

The geo blocker we've installed is rated well. I expect it will reduce bot activity, which is all I really want to achieve with it. Yet I'm sure it's probably true that it would be easy enough to bypass if someone wanted to. Like my mom used to say "locks are designed to keep out honest people".
