The pressure from the leaky valve pushes the springs enough to release. That's why you get the effect of a lot will drip then it slows then a lot then it slows.

The spring valves are useless. Think of it as a full straw with your thumb over the too. It will never leak until you let air in.

Just replace your valves more often.

John Olsen use to have a sale on trigger valves once or twice a year.
I woukd get 3 at a time and keep the extra in a tool box on the van. I replace them when they get bad enough because sometimes they start leaking again after just a couple weeks. Some last month's before they start leaking again.

I had o ring problems...
But honestly a wand valve truly needs to be machined for us,by us...
It may sound trivial, but a leak near the trigger hand alone.
Is 200-245higher drops on your pants or shoes.
Worked for a multi fleet guy, who's workers duct taped there shoes...
He wanted money, could care less ...
Good luck

Do you know What size are the O-rings are?
It depends on the style of valve. You can order extra o rings from your local distributor or sometimes pick them up at the hardware store. Some places will sell you an o ring kit with many sizes. Just match the old one to the new one.

Spraying Sytems had that concept for pest control wands- one we had was wire, the other a solid rod. Think it was meant to be only available to Rentokil but they were also on the Spraycators that 3M sold to licenced Scotchgard applicators.
