So we were using saigers code red (yes I’m blaming mark) on a residential job and my technician walked from the wet carpet to the wood floor and didn’t wipe it up

now at exactly 8:47 am there is a shoe print on there floors that will not clean off

I put some pictures here but can’t see the mark

what would you guys do to fix for the customer

All preconditions will do that if left to dry. Not just Mark's products.

Its needs to be wax where stripped and should be fine. Wood creme restorer would also do a great job of removing the dead wax footprint and adding back the shine if you have any of that around.

If you could get an honest answer from a supplier, they’d tell you that what their products do to furniture and wood floors keeps them up at night.
Well formulated product don’t do that.

If it has any solvent other than polar solvent it will do it. On some floors even polar solvent (water) will white out the wax.

Never listen a "know it all", dumbass, ignorant, redneck, bottom feeder, pig loving, porkbutt! 🤭

Are you insinuating that Soap Dooty wouldn't do it? If so then it can't be very effective on anything more than moderate soil.

I had to look twice to see if this was a resurrected thread - from before BBs existed. The last time I saw a waxed floor was thirty years ago, and everyone here was talking about it.

Since that floor has the #%%* stupid grooves between panels, it's prefinished flooring that has a tough polymer finish that's actually pretty hard to hurt. You could try using a mild solvent like OMS or turpentine and rubbing the area with 00 steel wool to remove residue or extremely light etching. If print remains, the right gloss level of polymer finishing product would be the fix.

And if you haven't made friends with a hardwood repair guy yet, maybe now's the time.

CC'ers shouldn't touch real wood

and they should also have enough common sense to cover hard floors or at the bare minimum, have enough sense stay the hell off of them with with wet feet or wipe the slop up right away

suggest you instruct such
