Me, total body work out for about 30-60 minutes everyday. Big focus on the legs since they carry the load all day especially up and down stairs lugging hose, machines, in out of the van. Like to soon start a man yoga routine to help stay nimble.
Since committing to exercising daily, definitely feel the difference.

How bout you guys? Do you at the least try to squeeze in a few reps of pushups.
I don’t consider it working out I enjoy it to much but biking is a lot of fun and keeps me in shape

Negative…. Steady state cardio isn’t bad for you of course, but interval training like sprints, is better.

All you have to do is some research.
I was at scouts with my kid the other night. I challenged another dad to do some suicide drills on the basketball court. Both of us almost died.

Interval training is a bit anaerobic so you continue to burn calories long after your workout is complete. You actually build some muscle.

All you have to do is look at all the idiots in the gym spending hours on a treadmill. Steady state cardio is great for your health, but it’s not going to transform your body like strength training and interval training.

I rotate some H.I.I.T. training in 1-2 times a week, but if you did it everyday you would be training your body to fail. If you run, lift or do anything until failure, your body will soon fail. A nice run/jog that elevates your heart rate combined with a nutritional diet, is your best bet to longevity.

Fake news
I'll try to clarify:

If you want to Bulk up and are going for Muscle Mass, then Cardio can work against you.
Depending on your diet, Cardio can cause your body to digest muscle tissue once it runs out of sugar in your bloodstream.
HIIT burns sugar. If you keep your Heart BPM below 120, then your body will burn Fat. Walking helps with burning fat.

However, Cardio helps with lung and heart health. Which could be better for longevity as long as you don't have any heart issues as Jim Fix did.

For some running is great. For others a combo of running and lifting light or hard or in between. Others walking is fine.
Find your comfort zone and get into a rhythm.
Calisthenics is great as well. utilize your own body weight. It’s free.

you will be amazed how the body begins to sculpture itself with a little push from you.

I Did a brisk 10+ mile walk today.
I tried to jog a little, but it was hard on my body.
My Fitbit recorded my walk as mostly Cardio and Peak, though.
I had to take Excedrin pills for the pain.

100-200 kettlebell swings per day seem to be an excellent total body workout.

3 15 minute miles is adequate. No pain pills. That is the the late for dinner Marty’s cardiologist is suggesting. In my 60’s I was moving at 11-12 minute miles. But, I don’t take it as serious since crossing the 70 line.

I’d cut it down to five miles or even less for the body to adjust then increase slowly.
kettle ball seems a good choice although watch not strain beyond range of motion.

I have been attending karate class 2-3x a week for 35 years. Plus I run a few times a week and once a year run 26.2 miles with a bunch of folks.
