Hey carpet cleaner dudes, how much resilient flooring are you cleaning in homes?

Are you swamped with just carpet wand a bit of upholstery, if so what area do you service and are you a one trucker?

Or are you looking to or currently cleaning resilient flooring in homes, and looking to service more of it?

( "resilient" meaning everything but real wood, stone, ceramic/porcelain)

and most importantly, how are your identification skills with these quickly changing/evolving products that for the most part, are designed to fool you into thinking that you're walking on real wood or stone surfaces?

I’m still on the sidelines with lvt and wood I am not sure why
We are multi truck and should adapt
I think I would like to learn a process that can be taught to monkeys that will deliver good results

Any floor can be cleaned, you just need to know how much water you can use..

Did one in Agoura today carpet, have a big clean and seal tile friday.

Lady today asked all her neighbors who to use, they all said they didn't have carpet anymore.

Resilient flooring still makes up a very small percentage of my total compared to carpet in my neighborhood.

Carpet is still king over here

But I did turn down a hardwood cleaning today.

Resilient flooring took off here. I mostly clean it when the customer "pushes" me to. Still plenty of carpet to clean, and for the moment, sectionals. Ive been keeping my eye on a few lvt jobs that I will pitch to, after the Multi Course in November. I think about resilient flooring cleaning EVERYDAY and how ez it will be when I can identify it all, and not make costly mistakes (too often). Factor that into a great overall experience for the customer with a little extra, like hwe a welcome mat or 2 (not a dozen or 2, lol), or vac the spider eggs from under the furniture= $ and a strong review. Owner operator.

When I offered that service in the past

By the time the customer called, it was time to screen and recoat, not clean. They think a mild buffing will make that polyurethane shine

It’s a good service to provide. It just doesn’t fit my business model
Wood is not Resilient, fyl..

Wood is the only thing I get nervous over. Not because I doubt myself on it, but because it can turn into a stripping and recoating nightmare that I don’t want to deal with.
That's what triggered me to get out of it. The whole floor clouded over and I thought I tested it correctly for wax. After a $500 repair and losing the customer, I immediately dropped that service

This house is loaded with this. I had to ask if it was real, engineered, or even a combo of real wood and engineered together.
