I refuse to stretch furnished rooms. I don't care how much it puts people out. If they want it stretched by me, it must be cleared of all furniture. I have zero tolerance. I've dealt with customers that say, "oh, well have everything out", then I show up and they only cleared half the room or moved everything to one side. I tell them to reschedule. A majority of my stretching work is vacants for property management. I usually turn down repairs and stretching for non commercial customers. It's just too much of a pain. You gotta dig around in their closet stuffed with years of crap and balled up dog hair just to get a ruminant. Then you tell the customer, "Have a closet totally cleared out so I can pull good carpet from it". I show up and its stuffed with old panties and shoes form the 1980's. Nope, I'm done with that crap. If it ain't vacant, it ain't for me.
Now ask me how I feel about Earth day.
