@billyeadon Does shaw have any concerns on cleaning carpet tile that has been installed with the LOK-DOT system? What are their recommendations? I tried to research it but couldn't find anything.
Not if the tiles are installed properly. Some facility managers are concerned about access floors because all their computer and phone wires are under the tiles. Normally I would pull 2 tiles and place a Kleenex under the area where the tiles meet and then clean. Clean over the tiles then pull them back and pull out the dry Kleenex. When cleaning with HWE, there isn't any concern about water getting under the carpet tile at the seams?
Cleaning the newer types of vinyl plank flooring is easy..
its the older pergo type floors that are hard to tell if they are waterproof or not... always can be wiped wet of course but actually rinsing them with a wand or using a hydroforce some can not take the moisture well if it gets down in between planks.
on older ones how do you tell if they are waterproof enough?
When I installed mine I wanted to be sure so I took scrap pieces and soaked them in water, no damage.
Thanks Bill.A trip to Roselle might be in our near future.
Hmmm...disasters Coming out of China could be a good thing for the carpet industry as a whole. If laminate flooring had stopped with Pergo laminate would have been just fine. It is when every manufacturer tried to make it cheaper that the problems began. I am hoping the same thing doesn't happen with LVT. But with most of it coming from China and the tariffs beginning I am nervous.
I here Bane was one of a kind fella, gentleman and a scholar and an ole timer with a right spirit that could sell snow to eskimos.I'm still very grateful for the many mill tour Bane arranged back then, and for meeting people like Bill Yeadon early in our careers.
Isn't that the point? No. They suck.
wouldnt a squeege wand work better?
Try moving it when it’s locked to the floor. One of the worst tools made in our industry.Isn't that the point?
