I think the remote control panel helps with that a lot... I’m not sure how many units on the market have that ability. I though most of the time, the controls are on the unit themselves.As an example of a great layout, a recent picture of a Stanley truck. First thing you notice: "where's the machine", that thing most put front and center dominating most layouts? Everything is thoughtfully positioned for seamless operation by a 2 person crew.

Since you are in the Bay Area with that beautiful thing, You'll be required to stop at the scales and get a motor carrier number. Do you have scales where you drive passed often? That's the reason I don't drive a modified box van, the CHP are scale crazy up here.
