As an example of a great layout, a recent picture of a Stanley truck. First thing you notice: "where's the machine", that thing most put front and center dominating most layouts? Everything is thoughtfully positioned for seamless operation by a 2 person crew.
As long as they've been around, it is only fitting that they have it figured out! The Layout is critical as far as efficiency when you are out there doing several jobs a day and have several trucks, or even if you just have one.

I am 70 miles from their original headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, going way back to the fifties. Jack Bates!

Time is money!

When I built our shop/garage I designed an inside 10 foot ceiling height, an overhead door that is 8' high and 18' wide, and an upstairs. The roof slope is a 8/12. The building measures 26' wide by 36' deep, with a floored upstairs and steps going up. There is a bathroom and rough in for shower, and it is heated and air conditioned. It has served me well 28 years!
