are you using 2.5 hose the first 50 feet off the truck or 2 inch?


i ask because i just looked at mine and noticed it has 2.5 coming down from the waste tank to towards the panel mount but chokes down to 2 inch for the port.

i think i will head over to the shop and have some fun with the plasma and weld me up a new 2.5 pipe for the panel mount, if i have time.

The Mikey (and Jim P) of 15 years ago had more of the strength and stamina needed to push a wand with a 2" hose then than we have today.

Its a good thing we still have our charm and looks...

Northern Nevada has very very low humidity. (35% today)
My shower stall dries out in under a half hour.


No wonder there is a low Chem Dry presence here.


You'd have to go out of your way to cause 24 hour dry times.

Or apply water based protectors at recommended rates

It won't heat up at all if you don't put a load on it. You have to warm the machine up around 10 HG while setting up your hoses. If you're doing 3-4 jobs per day it gets hot. It should hold 210-220 on stairs and upholstery. If you want more heat you have to go up to a bigger unit that burns more gas.

Call me old fashioned. I still use 2.5 inch for 50 feet and then 2 inch to the wand. And if that is not heavy enough, I use 3/8 inch Goodyear Neptune pressure hose. No titanium wand either. Still using the Greenhorn 5 jet.
Never have run a heat exchanger truck mount. Now that is really old fashioned!

Loren, I use to work for a company in Denver that had that same Steamway Powermatic 2100 back in 1994. It had a kerosene burner. Even though they perform well, I don't like fuel fired burners. To much liability IMO
