Has no one seen or used remote grease hoses? I see them on heavy equipment and electric motors all the time. They're available from several sources - here's Parker's:

Only if you won't spend the $4 for one of these for your grease gun. (Our mechanic made his own using a scrap of copper tubing.)

I believe that diameter is 1/8", not 3/8" Bryan.

I use the remote grease hoses on the 405s. Used them in industry a lot when I worked factory maintenance. Auto parts places stock them.

Yup, for hand grease guns at least they're 1/8" NPT (pipe) thread.

you can pull the engine cover back a few inches and gain access to the hard to reach fitting not a huge deal
