Anyone know if these can be interchanged or what the differences are?

Thanks
Does vertical refer to the airflow?
Or whether it’s mounted tall or wide?

Is is this vertical?

Yes, except the V in the code stands for vertical. Meaning the cast feet are on the end, usually not movable.
I think the feet bolt on and are made to fit the housing whether mounted the tall way or the flat way. Maybe this is a new thing... or maybe I'm out of date. Pay attention to which blower lobe shaft extends through the housing to mount the drive pulley if you want to fit the blower to your existing set-up

I've had no trouble getting info from manufacturers even if I told them I was looking at a used unit. They could tell you if there were other things to look for.

Tuthill was first with adaptable feet because they were making a big push to be specified as replacement for the more established Roots and Sutorbilt lines.

I just looked at a pair of 25 year-old Roots in our shop and see that they have bolt-on feet, but that may be a feature that only applies to some models. Easy enough to look, eh?
