500 psi pressure drop

I have a SS870 and my pressure drops from 1200 psi to 6/700 psi. When I use quad jet wand with 8 flow it drops from 500 psi to 200/250 psi. Any ideas what the problem might be? The pressure pump has good water flow through it.

Thanks for the input. Went to Sapphire's chat box they helped,( It was a Tim that helped don't know if it is the same one). Took regulator apart, spring was rusty and other grit. ordered new regulator.

What is the auxiliary port on the regulator for?

One of the auxiliary ports is for the return to the water box and the other is not utilized and should have a red cap in it,

I had a feeling it was a regulator or the parts inside were not functioning correctly you now know the problem so anytime you can take care of it
