I've landed a bunch and never knew it in my early steelheading years
I landed a good sized one around 7 pounds (that's big for coho here) and the dude next to me said "nice coho"
I "pretended" I knew it
and asked if he wanted it (I knew salmon died after spawn)The ones I'd landed before, I just thought they were a greener colored steelie with dirty lips..
