It’s hard to truly determine the worth of a company’s employment by hourly rate alone. I’d have to know the full benefit package to truly determine what a job pays. Health care alone can double the hourly rate depending. However, that truly does seem like poverty wages.

douchebags

A good mechanic starts at a minimum 25/hr

Charge top dollar for a tm with overpriced parts and pay the staff bottom dollar without any option to negotiate based on experience.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But hire a high school graduate and teach them in house if you want to pay that low

I showed this ad to a friend in the industry, this was his reply.

My daughter and her Boyfriend live/rent in an old Boston suburb in a small old house. Radiator heat, old windows, clean but very dated. $3800 a month. Utilities are $600 a month, 5% state income tax 6.25% sales tax

Im not out to beat on Butler, the whole supplier side of industry does no pay mechanics a living wage.

They might be a little more successful if they paid a little more.

They are asking for 2 years related experience, then go through their training. They are probably competing with farm equipment supply and repair companies.

Speaking of mechanics call me old-fashioned but when I pick up a new Motorsports vehicle I want to see yellow or white lines on each and every fitting which should indicate that it's been properly torqued.

Yesterday a rattle developed on the new ATV and with a little digging around I found the missing bolt from the front bumper causing the annoying vibration so now I got to spend an hour and a half of my time taking the unit back up there as it's probably a three to four hour operation to get to the back side of this nothing both assembly.

There was another missing bolt on a skid plate when I picked it up so I'm going to be as forceful as possible to request that every fastener is properly torqued and marked as such

If you ask me anybody who has the required skills their demanding is worth at least twice that annually...
Everyone knows a guy who knows a guy who's brother's friend walked in to a shop, got hired on the spot, and started at $90k.

Talk is cheap.

This reminds me of the guy who bought a hagopian butler and complained about every little thing.
Hope you don't have a real problem down the line.

I’m not making any judgement but Western Massachusetts cannot be compared to Eastern Massachusetts (Boston).

I can say that all of the staff at Butler is top notch.

Never mind..

Eastern and Western Massachusetts have some key differences:
* Geography:
* Eastern Mass: Primarily coastal, with rolling hills and some urban areas.
* Western Mass: More mountainous, with the Berkshire Mountains being a prominent feature.

* Economy:
* Eastern Mass: Generally stronger economy, driven by major industries like healthcare, education, and technology (particularly around Boston).
* Western Mass: More rural, with a focus on agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing.

* Population Density:
* Eastern Mass: More densely populated, especially around Boston.
* Western Mass: Less densely populated, with more rural areas.

* Culture:
* Eastern Mass: More urbanized and cosmopolitan, influenced by Boston's cultural scene and pompous financial investors/carpet cleaners
* Western Mass: More rural and traditional, with a stronger emphasis on outdoor recreation and local communities.

* Cost of Living:
* Eastern Mass: Generally higher cost of living, particularly around Boston.
* Western Mass: Lower cost of living compared to Eastern Mass.
These are just some of the key differences between Eastern and Western Massachusetts.
Disclaimer: These

are general observations and there can be significant variations within each region.
