Custy broke a bottle of red wine on their new off white carpet. I've cleaned it once before, but don't remember the fiber type. They didn't even attempt to get any up.

Do I have to replace the pad or will water clawing it and returning a couple of days later to take care of any wicking work?

Thanks,

Walt

Thank you for the replies.

I've used the ammonia peroxide solution dozens and dozens of times. No problem getting the stain out. Just concerned about the half quart of red wine in the pad.

No worries then?

A bottle splashed over several yards of carpet might not get through to the padding, especially if the carpet had a dense pile. But if the bottle was spilled in one concentrated area, I would want to flush out the cushion (pad) using a Water Claw. Keep it going until the water runs clear.

StainZone or the suggestions above should remove the stain.
