I've ordered 50' of 2.5..... I am running 4TTD, for 25', then 50 of 2.5...... Then 2" to the tool.... I've got a system already in place to deal with the extra hose...... I want the blower in the room with me......

Very funny Marty...... I'll let you know how YOUR machine performs under this set up.......your welcome......
Don't let him irritate you. Just remember that he's getting too old to push a wand. He's probably got a 25' 1.5" lead hose hooked up to his wand with a holed glide.

I like to think of myself as pork proof..... He secretly is curious about how it's going to perform..... More suction equals better dry times, equals me moving faster.... But that's not important to anyone, is it?????

Depending on various factors for dry times, 8 or less, and yes, 47 blower. Yes Tom, I have a Dev. in Line as well.

I also do a fair bit of com. I've got a part 2 of a job coming up this weekend, and the hose run is just shy of 350'.... No, I can't use VLM.... I found last weekend, that @ 350', the performance drops...... Guess I should have held onto my 650....... Needed room in my shop for the rug plant......

I am a airflow junkie, I still have 2.5 on both setups. What I have found to do the best is fans that I modded to point straight down on carpet. My van is not overloaded with equipment and they are thin enough that I can carry three of them during winter months.
If a customer hints about dry times I just load them up in the first room and as I work my way out of the next room I just go and grab one for the room fininshed.
About 20 minutes or so and the carpet is in pretty good shape, the living room is usually the last room cleaned and as soon as possible I load that room with the 3 fans while Im loading up and collecting check, the fans are the last thing that comes out of the customers house, and the customers have commented on how dry the carpets are when I leave.

I ask guys if they are around 4-5 hour dry times, fans will make the biggest improvment and a better investment

Do you leftists not have indoor air systems?
Marty because Redding has such dry air, a lot of the homes here still run evap coolers and they can cause carpet in summer to take longer than normal. I don't think they even sell them in your neck of the woods just to much moisture in the air back there, cuz they down right suck in humid weather

I know I'm not blazing trails here..... What was/is your experience with it? What size blower, and at what RPM? I'm spinning my 47 @ 3150..... Max is 3600......

47 will with out a doubt do better with 2.5 hose vs 2.0 and 4 2 dr is APITA setting up all the time.
I think 2.5 is awesome, for us we would run 50' of 42dr it was too much, I call it lift lag, and my son was to fast at wanding when he first started, and with our 45 blower it just wasnt fast enough to put the 42dr under proper vac load, I also have cool cuffs every 25 feet on our hose, Im not bagging on them they are great cuffs, but they do leak a little air that is just normal but it was just too much for the 45 blower, I switched it out with 2.5 and the lift lag is almost gone he noticed it RIGHT AWAY.
But that is with a 45 blower

I'm running solid cuff from4TD to my 2" whip......one leaky air cuff.... Why the F can't someone not come up with a swivel cuff that DOESNT leak air? Tom, there's your next project...... I'd buy them..... I F'in hate standard cuffs, and also hate swivel cuffs...... Build it, and they will sell........

So, I just picked up a 50' anaconda..... When I first started, the van came with a 30' section of 1 1/2 whip hose..... Not knowing better, I ran it like that for a little over a year. I was NOT getting good dry times.... 2 days! I slowly lived and learned, due to the wealth of info on the net....... Well, today I step up again..... Whips are for horses and old perverts.......
