Is anyone using an AI phone answering service? If so, how has your experience been? We have been quoted $3000 for setup and then 10 cents per minute. It doesn't sound computer generated and is as smart as the information it's given from scanning our website and pricing info from House Call Pro. I'm ready to give it a try so I don't have to answer the calls any more. It's 24/7/365. I'm more like 8-3, five days a week.

Does it have the ability to smile?
Toburen says you have to smile.

My late employee, Dave, had a bit of a deadpan voice on the phone when he first came to work for us decades ago.

My father took a mirror, gave it to him, and said "look in the mirror and smile before you answer it"

I knew Dave just hated the thought of having a damn mirror by his phone. After Lee walked away, I went over to Dave and said:

"Look, its up to you. Get some life in your voice or look at your mug in the mirror each time the phone rings. Lee will let you lose the mirror then...."

That was enough motivation to get him liven up!

Wouldn’t hiring a wife be cheaper? She could do quik books, answer emails, send invoices on commercial, and all sorts of things for less. And, if that’s not enough, throw your kids in there and make them do it. They are quite a bit more expensive though.

That's a good idea, but she is national director of customer service for Levolor window coverings. Over 100 employees. I couldn't afford her.
Both kids already work in the business. I'm just trying to eliminate my involvement. Answering the phone is about all I do now.
Oh, and idea man. I prefer that to be full time.
