IICRC to open new Global Resource Center
LAS VEGAS — While visitors to Las Vegas are often reminded “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” the Institute for Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (
IICRC) hopes the opposite will happen with its new Global Resource Center, a 20,000-square-foot facility scheduled to open January 2014.
The Institute completed the purchase of the property this summer and will begin extensive renovations throughout the end of the year to transform the space and make it a destination for
IICRC constituents.
While final plans have yet to be determined (as of publication), potential uses for the space include, but are not limited to: conferences and meetings, training, video production, storage and documenting the history of the industry with a library or museum.
The purpose of the Global Resource Center is concurrent with the mission of the IICRC, which is to enhance communication and resources to build upon the IICRC’s reputation as the leading authority and source of professional knowledge in the industry.
“Whether you are visiting Las Vegas for the Surfaces conference or would just like to make trip to see what the property has to offer, we welcome all of our constituents to the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony in January,” said
IICRC Chairman Darrell Paulson. “With a convenient location just between the airport and the Las Vegas strip,
some of our goals include making this a place where people engaged in the industry can meet, work and learn about the technology and processes that will advance the industry.”
