I have been close twice. As a youngster playing baseball a kid across town died while I was playing. A few years back I was mountain biking and a Folf player not very far away got hit.

Isn't the water in the hose a decent conductor? First time in my life I disagree with Jim Martin---Even if it blows up the line, I think enough current could get through to totally zap you. I am not an electrician and don't even understand what the he** electricity is.


from all the things I have seen when it hits..it releases all of its energy and it blows everything apart....so from that point there is no place for it to travel...
unlike a live line that is powered up and constantly sending power....it will find away....

Jim,
What you say makes sense. An electrician friend told me that there are more people that die from 120 in the US than from 220 overseas. I am assuming it has to do with getting blown off the line with 220. So I would believe the first time I disagreed with you I am probably wrong...
