Was wondering...any of you use a heated fan in a customers house when cleaning carpet? (like the one in Jimbo's thread about keeping the van heated)

I always want to convert my airpath and some snails to work with a heater so I could dry carpets even faster. I open the windows during cleaning, so a bit of extra heat in a home is ok I guess...

I know it wouldn't be a good idea to heat the motor on them, but maybe at the outlet of the blowers somehow it could be paired with a heater.
Perhaps a ring under the airpath...kinda like a hairdryer...you get the point. :)

Mytee? Any idea if you guys could make a nice little heated unit?

Sounds like a sure recipe for trouble. I think Jimbo was just using the stat to heat his garage or van.

I know Jimbo was doing that..I was just saying it as an example.

You think it would burn the carpet if left in one position for a long time? I don't want that much heat..just a little to raise the temperature of the air going thru.

I love putting a snail by the heat register and ducting that warm air over the carpet. BAMM its dry.
