Anybody running a Nautilus Portable?

Pros/Cons? I'm looking at the Extreme model with the 8.4 vacs to replace our aging EDIC. Looks to get close to small TM performance but at close to $4K I'd expect no less...

Make sure you have enough power to run it. You probably need 1 20 amp circuit and 1 15 amp circuit.

That's a good point. It would probably be used for commercial mainly, but may see an occasional hi rise condo or apartment

I run two of the 1200 PSI Models. They are very easy to work on when they need it which is rare. Very easy to wheel around. I can carry 50 feet of vacuum hose, 50 feet of pressure hose, 50 feet of fresh water hose, 50 feet of dirty water hose, a tile spinner, a carpet wand, an injection sprayer, and a 5 gallon bucket of product all at once on it .

Have you compared this to a new EDIC extractor? How long have you had the EDIC extractor in service and has it served you well?

Two 20 amp0 circuits will be fine. No need for third cord unless you have a separate heater.

No Nautilus but a newer EDIC great unit, lite weight I can put it in my express van without a ramp at 73 yrs young. Easy to use quiet and powerful. The only down side is the weight is off because of the low profile handle and is very hard going up stairs. jz.

I've been looking at all of them. I like the Nautilus because of the 8.4 vacs but I'm sure other brands have models with those as well. The truck port from excellent supply (looks like a rebadged sandia) is intriguing too at its $2k price point

They look like well designed machines to me.

MXE-500M would be the way to go.

207v pump is a workhorse.

From what I have read, the new 8.4's are one of the most amp efficient vacs available and often run well over 1000 hours.

The additional amps required with a pump-out may push the ceiling of 1x15/1x20 amp circuits assuming your going to run your pump-out continuously.
