If so, what are your dry times and what psi do you wand it at? I currently run 7.5flow, and I'm thinking about bumping it up.

9 flow here, 400psi.. Great dry times, it's dry before I even start!!:winky:

9 flow rinses better then 6. My heat is still great with 9 flow on both of my machines.

Yes! 10 flow, 450 psi with Parflex solution line (insulates better) and you will get more heat at the fibre. Move the wand slower and let the heat and flow do the work. Less passes, less residual moisture.

5 number 2 jets in wand for 10 flow with 3/8 inch solution hose and kerosene burner.

12 flow with Rotovac 360i quad. Four 1.5 flood jets.

Always do a dry pass.

I'm running 15flow at 5-600psi. Gives a better flush though have to watch the heat as the Hx doesn't keep up like the 4HT did
Some carpets feel kinda damp at the end but most feel damp but you can't really get your hand wet.

I have 5 jets as well on my mach15. I never liked a jet under 2 flow, and I feel the 1.5's aren't rinsing out as well. I've never been up as high as 10flow, and I was concerned that my 4007blower might not be big enough to extract that much water at 500psi. How big is your engine and blower?

20 flow on a 5 jet Greenhorn. Heat is not a problem with a Diesel burner.
Sufficient dry strokes, and it won't be a dry time issue either.

I am running a 45 blower, 25 horse Kohler, without any heat exchanger vacuum restrictions.

I have my 13" Zipper jr setup with 5x 02 jets =10flow and my PCTI wand 6x 02 jets= 12flow... 20hp Honda motor, 45 blower, #4 Little Giant Heater... I've put 03 jets on my Zipper jr for 15 flow... Worked good but the filling of the waste tank sucked with I'd have 100sf left... I dropped it back down and the only difference I really see is how much thicker the waste water is than the 15flow... 1.5jets clog too easily for me...

I agree on the jets clogging.

I had to redo a job yesterday, because, Originally, the carpet needed to be thrown away from it being so trashed...But I tried my best. I was so disappointed in how it came out, I told the customer that I'll come the next day after it dries and try it again.

The first time I did it...I used my 7.5flow 5jet wand. The second time, I used my 4jet 8flow wand, and it flushed it better. The water was just as nasty as the first time I cleaned it, and it was only .5 flow more. That tells me that a 10flow with #2 jets will do a job 100times better than a 7.5flow #1.5 jets any day.

I'm gonna swap my jets out this weekend and make my mach15 a 10flow wand

Just do it.
Then you can lie about your drying times too.
No kidding

Some of you goobers need to clean your own double wides and take a moisture meter to it after 8 hours

Lots of cleaners lose credibility with their customers telling them it'll be dry in a couple hours

I always told my customers dry to the touch at 4-6hours

There is a breakdown between what cleaners perceive as dry to the touch and completely dry as in before the carpet was cleaned

People walk on freshly cleaned carpets bare foot or with socks and may be disappointed when they detect some moisture hours after the cleaner said it would be "dry"

' limited use after 4-6 hours and ready for full use next day" is my line to customers

Under promise and over-deliver

I carry two wands. The first is a mytee two jet from Cobb 2-110-03 jets and works very well. The second is another Cobb two jets 2-110-05 jets for trashed carpets. Each wand is used for type of cleaning that will do the best job. jz.
