I know it changes with the schedule. But what is your average drive time to your first job, from your last to home and in between clients.

I am well aware that you try to schedule to minimize wasted drive time, but it does not always work, particularly if you're an O/O.

Here in San Francisco, some days it takes me longer than an hour to get to my first job, if its across town. I am on the verge of developing tourette.

yes- it can be frustrating to drive in SF--- but think about changing your point of view like I have.
when I'm stuck in traffic while driving the Vortex-- I appreciate it as an opportunity to drive a billboard about my company around town: so I drive accordingly.

I'm not in a hurry to get home and watch the evening news. If I need a MB fix I can log on from my phone.--
While I'm at stop lights I can use my Android phone and the desktop version of Service monster to do my bookkeeping. By the time I get home most of my paperwork is already done.

being done with my paperwork before I'm home means I use the time to fix stuff or call one of my Gal Pals for a foodie call. a foodie call is a short notice invite to dinner at a nice restaurant with no strings attached.-- life is good.:very_drunk:

Oh yeah, if they catch you on your cell phone, over $300 fine.

yeah I got THAT ticket already-- think it was only $179. I only do it at stop lights and keep an eye on the "stoplight countdown clock". I also check my surrounding for cops 1st.
I got the ticket when my mom called and my dad was having health issues-- I panicked and thought it was an important call and didn't notice the cop I just drove by. we both Laughed about it and he was super cool.

I love living in Mayberry

Over 50% of our jobs are under 20 minutes away

The only thing San Fran has on Boston is that it is cleaner... the traffic is horrible on either coast

If SF is cleaner than Boston, Boston must be a real shit hole.

but honestly I think SF is pretty clean considering all the homeless and its population. but THIS is the opinion of someone who visits Bangkok regularly.

Perhaps those cheap hotels with bed bugs that you stay at have tainted your view of SF? :eekk:

I can go from one end of my county to the other in 45 min. My "city" takes less than 10 min from one side to the other. There is no amount of money that could get me to live in the city. So much of your life wasted staring at other people wasting their lives next to you. All so you can breath more smog and pay more for everything.

Yeah but Starbucks supports the killing of unborn babies and perverts in girls restrooms.

And Hamas
Marty. Marty. Marty. Deep sigh. Shudder.
Any place where people appreciate good coffee, they will not set foot in a Starbucks.

We go to:
Blue Bottle

Or Andy Town with the best muffins you never had:

1 Andytown Coffee Roasters
This small Outer Sunset shop chooses and roasts their own beans (now at a new facility down the street) for the perfect cup of coffee. Known for their Snowy Plover, a cold drink composed of Pellegrino, espresso, and brown sugar syrup over ice, topped with homemade whipped cream, the cafe also offers housemade pastries and free wifi. Owners Lauren Crabbe and Michael McCrory named their shop for McCrory's native Andersontown in Belfast Ireland — hence the cafe's authentic soda breads — and they've expanded with another location at 3629 Taraval Street to serve their growing fanbase.

Or, if you appreciate both history and good coffee:

Caffe Trieste

The North Beach location of Caffe Trieste has been around for over 50 years, serving espresso to the masses. It's host to a crowd of neighborhood regulars, who can be found discussing, art, poetry, music, and more on the sidewalk outside. Live music is a bonus at this institution, where performers can be seen day and night.

I do Jimmy. We roast our own.

You can't beat freshly roasted coffee. We buy the beans online and it's actually cheaper and roasting is pretty simple and easy. Tastes awesome and if you enjoy good coffee- worth it.

I buy the green beans here:

We're about 20-30 minute drive here.. If we hit "prime time" traffic, we could be at 1 1/2 hours to go 10-12 miles..

Have you read his posts?
Jimmy is vegan or whatever the hell is the Nebraskan equivalent.

Now, I am a compromising man. How about watching Jimmy drink coffee while hanging out with a bunch of your favorite football playing, San Francisco vegans?
Naturally on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

There is no average. Somewhere between 5 minutes and an hour and a half...during Season.
