Hello all,

For the old timers here, most should remember me.

To keep you all up on what's been going on, I made some changes in the last few years. Having heart surgery at the age of 41 due to genetic issues was a continuous downfall for me. Financially, morally, and with the lack of support from a franchised company that I've invested hundreds of thousands in to.

Portables and franchises with multiple family members working for nothing took virtually all the commercial work I had. Being sarcastic here... 5 porties will knock a TM out of the ball park any day of the week. You know, one chem does the trick! Soon after the janitorial accounts were being "flipped" (it's every franchise company's business model) I became upset with them and started to complain. Soon learned that's a rule, never to complain. Like others before me, they wound up decimating revenue, tacked on tons of fees, and crippled me overall. They can't "fire" you, but they can squeeze you out.

Earlier this year I realized that getting a residential service off the ground alone would never happen. No financial backing, and getting sunk left and right with who I was doing business with. My quality of life was in the tank, and needed to do something.

Fortunately prior to this I've had two decades of management and logistics/inventory under my belt. I found a company that was looking for a carpet cleaner and talked with them. Turns out they are a restoration company. After weeks of visits and interviews they found a good fit for me within their company. And it's much more than pushing a wand.

So, here I am back once again! I am learning fire and water damage on top of it. I have a new Thermalwave at my use (it's really a nice rig) and a 405 backup like the one I own currently.

I feel this will once again be a great place to learn, and share as well. There's a lot of new methods I am going through and miss chatting with the masses here. And, for the first time in over a decade I'm not working 7 days a week, and actually and adjusting back to a normal life!
